Hi! I'm Wes Luh

I'm a student at NYU CIMS.
Currently, I'm majoring in computer science and planning to minor in data science.

I build high-quality, responsive, and detailed web applications, and use the MERN stack.

I've served as the Principal Violist at NYUO2, the undergraduate school orchestra.

I'm passionate about education and volunteer with Microsoft TEALS to bring computer science classes to schools who otherwise wouldn't offer them. Previously, I taught public speaking skills at The Harker School in Saratoga, CA. When I'm not coding, find me listening to and playing music, hiking, or designing for fun.

Work Experience

Fullstack Intern at Singularity.AI (Winter 2020)
Developed interface and backend for displaying, editing, and sharing slide images for an integrated case management solution. In particular, I used MongoDB, GraphQL, React, Express.js, and AWS EC2 to develop a full stack solution for the interface.
Software Engineering Intern at Singularity.AI (Summer 2020 - FT)
Tested the efficacy and potentiality of SSD and R-CNN computer vision frameworks in a variety of environments. In particular, I tested inception-v3 on a variety of datasets, adjusting parameters to maximize performance in order to determine its suitability for use in a clinical setting, and developed a image processing solution to optimize the raw data for the network, and quickly produce data visualizations for the end user.
Web Design Intern at Heali AI (Summer 2020 - PT)
Engineered redesign to website, including product renders, copywriting, and data visualizations for product. Used HTML, CSS, and Javascript in combination with Squarespace.

Volunteer Experience

Volunteer at Brooklyn Prepatory High School via Microsoft TEALS
Assisted teacher with teaching computer science curriculum at Brooklyn Prep HS. Created weekly lesson plans and led breakout groups, answering questions and teaching material.
Advisor at New Visions of Tomorrow
Advisor of a non-profit assisting visually impaired students, directly providing real-world educational experiences. Served as the liaison for other organizations. Built and maintained website 2016-2019.
